“We are relatively new to the Oracle database environment. The expense of locating, hiring, and keeping a high quality database administrator has been a challenge at which we had been less than completely successful. We decided that, for us, the best long-term approach was to develop the necessary skill set among those on our existing staff. To accomplish this we concluded it would require short-term coverage until our people got up to speed.
