Position SummaryResponsible for all assigned tasks defined for this support level category to provide customer service. This position entails a wide variety of tasks and requires on-call duties. Will work closely with other delivery personnel and directly with customers to define service scope capabilities. Will develop best practices and strategy for implementation and support of RDBMS environments Responsibilities:- Perform complex database administration tasks, including but not limited to:
- Complex Database Recovery
- Provide Problem resolution and Document solution
- Root Cause analysis of RDBMS issues
- Complex Problem Determination (RDBMS vendor interface)
- Advanced system analysis
- Resource / Capacity planning for customers
- Release / Feature recommendation for customers
- T&M estimates
- Advanced customer mentoring
- Documentation of tasks for assignment to appropriate work groups
- Maintain documentation on standards and procedures.
- Troubleshoot DB2 issues working with Application Development and DBA staff.
- Collaborates with other high-level IT professionals, business strategists, specialized technicians, business process experts, consultants and business partners.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade DB2.
- Monitor DB2 product performance
- Lead and work in a collaborative effort to conceptualize total system solutions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:- Required Education: 4 year degree from University/College or equivalent experience
- Desired Education: Master degree
- Experience Level: 4+ years experience
