Educational Qualifications

  • Required Education:     Bachelors Degree or equivelent in experience
  •  Desired Education:       Masters Degree
  • Experience Level:         4+ years as a DBA in the following RDBMS (Oracle EBS and general Oracle Database Aministration skills)

Requirements

Responsible for all assigned tasks defined for this support level category to provide customer service. This position entails a wide variety of tasks and requires on-call duties. Will work closely with other delivery personnel and directly with customers to define service scope capabilities. Will develop best practices and strategy for implementation and support of RDBMS environments

  1. Experience Administering Oracle EBS 11+ including upgrades and migrations, OEM, Cloning, Discoverer, Concurrent Manager. Multiplatform support including Linux.
  2. Perform complex EBS administration tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Installations
  • Setup, Configuration, and Maintenance of Concurrent Manager
  • Setup, Configuration, and Maintenance Discoverer
  • Complex Problem Determination
  • Advanced system analysis
  • Resource / Capacity planning for customers
  • Release / Feature recommendation for customers
  • T&M estimates
  • Advanced customer mentoring
  • Documentation of tasks for assignment to appropriate work groups
  • Mentor and provide training sessions to delivery support personnel
  1. Complete all required event ticket documentation.
  2. Respond appropriately to event tickets with expediency required to meet service level agreements.
  3. Achieve competance in Oracle Database Administration.
  4. Maintain a high level of knowledge in the capability of the monitor software (Patrol / directVIEW, (will train))
  5. Establish and document best practices for the supported RDBMs environments.
  6. Maintain broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in area of expertise.
  7. Provide expert level trouble shooting skill for the support RDBMS and OS environments.
  8. Participate in pre-sale activity as required.
  9. Participate in trade-show as presenters of technology or practice if requested.
  10. Engineer database administration tasks and participate in ongoing process improvement.
  11. Create ad-hoc customer reports as requested; where indicated, engineer ongoing automation.
  12. Take requested out-of-scope tasks to CRM for handling.
  13. Provide support to CRM teams for customer service reviews.
  14. Manage/direct large scale RDBMS projects including but not limited to upgrades and migrations.
  15. Demonstrate “customer care” in handling of all communications.
  16. Show flexibility in handling variety of support requests.
  17. Perform other related duties as assigned
