President & Chief Executive Officer
John Bostick has led dbaDIRECT as the President and CEO since its founding in 1998. He is a seasoned computer industry veteran, writer, and public speaker with over 28 years of experience in Information Technology. He has held leadership positions with Fortune 1000, Private 500 firms and mid-sized enterprises. John Bostick had a 10 year tenure with IBM in their Chicago and Cincinnati offices and was recognized as the top manager of the Midwestern Region. John Bostick was distinguished as the winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award® in 2000. This award, created by Ernst & Young LLP 14 years ago, has become the preeminent program honoring outstanding entrepreneurs for achieving extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. John Bostick has authored many articles related to business, entrepreneurialism and information technology topics and has established himself as a thought leader in the data management industry. John’s Bostick insightful articles have been published in popular industry and business publications that include The Wall Street Journal and CIO Magazine. John Bostick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wabash College in Indiana and is also a graduate of Culver Military Academy.

Brad Landstra brings over 16 years of technical sales, marketing and management experience to his role as vice president of sales at dbaDIRECT. Prior to joining dbaDIRECT, Brad Landstra was the vice president of worldwide sales for Synchrony Communications, a company providing remote hosted eCRM solutions. At Synchrony, Brad Landstra led the company’s worldwide sales team and concentrated on the development of the European market. Brad Landstra came to Synchrony after serving as the vice president and general manager of North American Operations at International TechneGroup, Inc. (ITI), a software and engineering services firm in the manufacturing industry. While at ITI, Brad Landstra’s responsibilities included profit and loss accountability in sales, marketing, services delivery, and administration. Prior to ITI, Brad Landstra spent seven years in sales and sales management with Sybase, Inc., where he established customer bases in various regions and developed multi-million dollar relationships with major accounts. His high-technology sales career began with sales experience at Oracle Corporation and Cullinet Software. Brad Landstra attended Michigan Technological University and received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

Chief Operating Officer
Ken Roth brings more than 20 years of IT Delivery experience in various industries to his role as Sr. Vice President of Global Delivery at dbaDIRECT. Prior to joining dbaDIRECT, Ken Roth served as the Interim CIO at Cinergy, Inc. Ken Roth held various executive information technology positions at Cinergy including sourcing management and application development. Prior to his roles in information technology at Cinergy, Ken Roth acted in various management and staff business roles within Cinergy including energy trading, engineering and power system monitoring and control. Ken Roth earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He currently resides with his wife and daughter in Northern Kentucky. Ken Roth current serves on the board of directors for the Northern Kentucky Skating Foundation as Treasurer.

Chief Information Security and Risk Officer
Steven A. Knight brings over 22 years of IT experience to his position as dbaDIRECT’s Chief Information Security and Risk Officer. Mr. Knight’s objectives include overseeing global information security, risk, and privacy. Mr. Knight is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Mr. Knight’s IT experience includes working in and with the information security community for many years. He has held key security management positions for companies such as Jefferson Wells, Duke Energy, and Ohio National Financial Services. Mr. Knight has a proven track record of success when it comes to strategic and tactical security planning for some of the leading Fortune 1000 companies. He graduated magna cum laude from Thomas More College, completing his bachelor of business administration degree with a double major in finance and marketing. He is also a Gulf War veteran, having served in the United States Air Force.

Vice President of Delivery
Phillip Rountree brings over 37 years of IT experience to dbaDIRECT in his position as Vice President of Delivery. Originally from Louisville, KY, Mr. Rountree is one of the first professionals to have joined dbaDIRECT. Mr. Rountree plays a major role in defining dbaDIRECT’s core services and continues to contribute to dbaDIRECT’s success in his new role as Vice President of Delivery. Mr. Rountree has 28 years of experience as a database administrator, data administrator, security and IT management. Mr. Rountree’s extensive database experience includes Sybase, MS/SQL, Oracle and DB2. Mr. Rountree’s career has included roles performing in multiple IT functions, including mainframe developer, system analyst, mainframe system administrator, and networking administrator. Mr. Rountree’s accomplishments include speaking at the Sybase Convention in 1997 and 1998, as well as a Certified Sybase Professional (CSP) and a Certified Sybase Instructor Advanced Curriculum (CSIAC), teaching and consulting for five years. Outside of the IT world, Mr. Rountree is a licensed commercial pilot and licensed flight instructor. He actively volunteers as coordinator for the Tri-State Warbird Museum, and pilots their WW II-era B-25 bomber. Mr. Rountree is married with five children and enjoys raising his horses and dogs.
